« The true reward is that the girls see themselves as beautiful at the end of a session »
What is your signature?
I adore working on skins. I spend a lot of time working on highlights. But, above all, even when I push the envelope a little, I make certain that the girls are undeniably beautiful.
What do you find fun about your job?
The people I meet : photographers, models, personalities… Contact with creative actors year-round, while travelling at the same time. I learn every day. It’s a great privilege.
What nourished you?
I have a passion for books on architecture, art and photography. Moreover, my family inspires me a lot. My husband is a set designer and we exchange views on new materials. And my daughters create unbelievable mixtures of colors, which I enjoy reproducing from time to time.
Name one job that was particularly important to you.
A Pop series with Gisèle. We had 2 hours to do 6 photos. It was the first time that I had worked with the photographer Harley Weir, and it was a very pleasant meeting. She is young, determined and shakes you out of your shell.
What are you most proud of?
To have succeeded in travelling this far, by dint of hard work. But the true reward is that the girls see themselves as beautiful at the end of a session, and that people are always happy to work with me.
What is your latest news?
From now on I am the official make-up artist France for Chanel. I feel very honored to be called upon by such a prestigious house. I operate at shows, I look after the official house icons, I travel with them and I interface with French journalists on questions concerning Chanel make-up. At the same time, I am trying to develop a more fashion-oriented approach with my interactions for Pop, Dazed and confused, Harper’s Bazaar, Porter or The Edit.
