« Hair looks modern to me when the style appears spontaneous, effortless and when it expresses an individuality »
Cyril Laloue

What is your signature?

A “sharp” haircut, a simple structural job, a sophisticated hairstyle, the use of wigs, hair extensions or accessories When one has the good luck to do hair for a picture the range of possibilities is very wide. Of course, this depends on each experience, but I like to be non-conformist.

What do you find fun about your job?

The creativity, collaboration with the models, photographers, stylists and make-up artists, and especially those little moments when the magic of the picture permeates.

What inspires you?

«People » inspire me; I like to observe them. I love photography, art, nature and technology. I like to be surprised.

What is the most complicated job ever asked of you?

A few years ago, I was asked to prepare five wigs for the model Maria Carla Boscono as part of the Numero magazine “B series” take by Sofia and Mauro. I received the request while on a shoot abroad. I therefore had very little time between my return from my trip and the shooting. I still use those pictures today.

Preparation of thirteen models per day over a five-day shoot for Ellen von Unwerth book “Revenge”. We produced a lot of images in a very short time. Ellen is a dynamo. It was very intense.

And the job that you won’t forget?

Work with Sarah Moon was a wonderful experience Like her pictures, the atmosphere that she creates is unique. It was poetic.

What do you find modern in hair stylism today?

Hair looks modern to me when the style appears spontaneous, effortless and when it expresses an individuality.
